Hello! I am a speech pathologist by degree, a lover of all things chocolate or pumpkin spice, and mother of three amazing (and full of energy!) kids. My husband and children are definitely my life's biggest blessing. My background in speech pathology has allowed me to help children and adults for over 15 years, and I am grateful for these valuable experiences. I have and always will have a special place in my heart for people with disabilities.
I am originally from the Midwest and could not love anything more than a crisp, fall day with my family at an apple orchard in Illinois! Since we moved to Wake Forest last year, my days have mostly revolved around coffee and our kids' soccer, baseball, basketball, and dance practices, recitals, and games- but I wouldn't have it any other way!
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved photography. I started my business in 2011 and now, as a mother, daughter, sister, and wife, I continue to apply my life experiences into every aspect of photography. I am so grateful for this journey, and could not be more thankful for the people in it. My husband, two precious sons and sweet daughter remind me to live in the moment every day as we never know when our last moments together will be. My goal is to capture your moments so that you can hold onto them forever , and look back with nostalgia when they are only fond memories. This is why I love what I do so much - I simply help you celebrate your life's small joys in a moment's time.
My husband and I make a phenomenal team, and have been taught under national leading professional photographers. I am so thankful that I get to meet incredible couples and families time and time again. We hope to meet you, and help capture your small, precious moments that last a lifetime.

What should I expect from the photo shoot?
My ultimate goal is to capture emotion and personality in your images. I am a lifestyle photographer and focus on taking both beautiful candid and posed images. My style is relaxed and fun-the happier everyone is, the better the images! I shoot in the morning and in the evening as this is the best lighting for portraits.
Once you pay the session fee to reserve your spot, I will call you to review the details including date, time, location, clothing, length of shoot, people in the shoot, and any additional needs you may have. I understand that life happens, and cancellations occur. Please cancel within 72-48 hours of the session if at all possible.
What should I wear to the photo session?
Your clothing should reflect your personality! Make sure you choose a good balance between solids and patterns. If you want your images to reflect a lighter and subdued feel, wear lighter colors. If you want an urban, downtown feel, choose colors that are rich and vivid. Wear jewelry, boots over jeans, belts, scarves, hats, and any sort of texture that will add interest and show your personality even more. Layers add so much to a photo and take a normal photo to the next level.
How do I view my images?
You will be able to view your images on-line. Your images will be ready within 3 weeks from the photo session. I will professionally edit them and post them on-line using a secure password protected weblink. The website will be available for you to view and purchase for 3 weeks.
